Heaven Luck (Tien Chai) refers to a person's destiny. This type of luck is something that is laid out for us at the time of
our birth, and is beyond your control. This is the Luck that you are born with and determines your Fate, the conditions
of your birth, your character, and your life circumstances. Fate is the force or power that determines events. It is based
on the time and place of birth, karma, past lives, and your constitutional energies. Finally, the Luck that you are born
with is defined as a "force" that brings good and bad fortune. This "force" is considered to be a manifestation of Qi.
It consists of life variations in fortune; it fluctuates during different phases of our lives. A person can transform
a poor fate into a prosperous one by concentrating on dynamics, such as Feng Shui, Bazi, and other methods of
personal Qi development, which influence luck, and provide ones ability to change or avoid fate.

Man Luck (Ren Chai) refers to the actions and choices that a person makes in life, e.g., beliefs, education, ambitions, etc.
You may have been born with talents, but how you use it is up to you. Thus this type of luck is within a person's
control; it is the luck that we create for ourselves. It is your free-will and intentions that you set forth in your lifetime.
Through compassionate acts of charity (good deeds) it is believed that we can adjust the negative aspects determined
by our Heaven Luck. Finally, continuous self-improvement and the accumulation of knowledge, open one's inner
senses. This facilitates with clarity of thinking and doing, which in turn will direct us to our life's purpose.
Earth Luck (Ti Chai) is where Feng Shui comes in handy. It is governed by the visible and invisible energies
that surround and permeate the natural world. It is the environment, location, exterior, exterior, and directions
that a property faces and sits. This is something that you can control. You can manipulate the energies within y
our surroundings to create the potential for better health, wealth, and relationship luck.

Each of the above three factors only occupy 1/3 of the luck factors in our lives and are inter-related. They do not function in isolation. For example, if a person has good Heaven Luck, good Man Luck, and good Earth Luck, he or she is sure to have excellent luck in life. If, however, a person is born with poor Heaven Luck, he or she will have to rely on his Man Luck and Earth Luck. This means, this person will have to work extra hard and be aware of his environment and his actions in order for him or her to achieve his or her goals. Likewise, even if a person has excellent Heaven Luck, but have poor Man and Earth Luck, he or she still only receive 33.3% of luck. For example, if a person is born with the talents of Mozart, but do nothing to cultivate (Man Luck) this talent, he or she is not going to achieve the greatness he or she is destined to achieve.
