About Us
Speak Easy English is a not-for-profit body that provides a comfortable and affordable way to learn English.  This website runs on "free" software in order to keep the cost down.  Students pay only the time spent live with the tutor online.

Speak Easy English is perfect for people who do not not have the time to attend live classes.  Members can get online live with the tutors on scheduled time from anywhere in the world! 

Speak Easy English members can also visit the Student Resources Page to practice what they've learned by listening to conversations, news broadcasts, stories, etc.  A plethora of links are also availble for students to practice their reading skills and writing skills.

No textbook is required for the courses.  Students are provided with handouts and other online materials to read and listen to.  Students in advance level may also opt to choose topics for discussion during the sessions.
Community
Students at Speak Easy English logs-on from all corners of the world, including Japan, Philippines, Korea, and Taiwan!  Although, most of the sessions are done individually; conferencing (if students are of the same level)is also done when two or more students are online at the same time.  This gives for a more interesting discussion.

The instructor at Speaking Easy English have been teaching TESOL/ESL for a number of years and is a certified TESOL/ESL teacher.
Instructor
Liza M. Lee is a native English speaker from Honolulu, Hawaii (U.S.) who holds a Masters Degree in Counseling & Psychology from Troy State University; a Bachelors Degree in Behavioral & Social Science from the University of Maryland University College and a TESOL certificate from University of California, Los Angeles. 

Liza has been teaching English courses at National Sun Yat-sen University, National University of Kaohsiung, Kaohsiung Medical University for the past four (4) years.  She teaches English Reading, Writing, Oral Training, and Public Speaking.

Besides teaching (classroon and online), she also moonlights as a counselor (her chosen field) providing study abroad consulting and help Taiwanese students apply to universities in the United States.
